Love God. Love yourself. Love others.
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22:37-40
We must learn to love. Love does not come from us. It comes from God. We love because He first loved us. He desires that we learn to prioritize love in our lives. But not just any love. His love.
His love is patient, kind, and protects from harm. God’s love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. God’s love is life-giving, not life-depleting.
Most people think that the most important person to love is ourselves. But in God’s word, He wants us to put loving Him first. Then loving ourselves. Then loving others.
When we prioritize LOVE LOVE LOVE in our life in this order – love God, love yourself, love others – everything falls into place more smoothly in our lives, with greater balance, fulfillment and pleasurable purpose and more peace.
